ifu Service Center

ifu wished to provide the best possible conditions for its students. The main contact for all matters relating to living and studying at ifu was the Service Center.

The ifu students could approach the Service Center with all their queries. Whether they needed help with studying or teaching matters, had problems with their accommodation, were seeking information on sports, leisure or culture, didn't know where to buy food or clothes, needed a doctor or had questions about getting around - they only had to go and just ask the Service Center! The staff wanted always to do their best to ensure that the stay at ifu is a pleasant and rewarding one.

Besides functioning as a central service provider for information, counselling and administrative matters, the Service Center was a socio-cultural meeting place promoting communication, empowerment and innovation. This means it has made a key contribution towards furthering the interests of ifu women in terms of their well-being and their social and cultural integration. It has helped to (re)shape university life, the aim being to create optimal conditions for both students and teachers and ensure the high quality of study and teaching programs.

The Service Center also provided a housing service to help find accommodation at the place of study. The Service Center was also responsible for running the ifu café at the student's hostel, a central meeting-point for ifu participants who wished to promote student self-organization or simply get to know each other better.
