Brief description of the project

"The workshop 'The Individual and the Global Water Problem' will draft a poster presentation for the ifu open space. I feel this presentation form is ideal, as it is not particularly elaborate in technical terms, and permits a direct implementation of the problems, topics and thoughts of each of the participants.
Firstly, I will present an example of how ecological questions can be handled artistically by presenting my own work up until now, and our joint work on my poster (topic: life-cycle assessment). Afterwards, we will access the individual ideas of each participant with their own national, economic and specialist backgrounds. In the final presentation, the participants and I will show each of their posters, giving a ten-minute statement. The global dimensions of the water problems can be made tangible by the direct juxtaposition of individual, artistic viewpoints."

About Nana Petzet and her work

"For more than ten years, my artwork has focused on critical appraisal of scientific thinking. I have dealt increasingly with environmental problems in the last few years. This is why I feel it would be important to work with students at the ifu, who have specialised knowledge of chemistry, biology, environmental engineering and statistics. Of course, I would also like to include all students who are interested in interdisciplinary work with artistic purpose."
